    Hi there,
Trying to figure out how to animate a Spotlights Intensity.

Objective: Have a light fade on and fade off when user interacts with object.

    What I have tried:
I first tried creating a spotlight in maya with the Intensity values keyframed hoping to use the keyframed animation and the animation puzzle. However in trying to do this when you choose an Animation Selector puzzle….the Spotlight does not appear in the drop-down list.

So thought I could do it via a parameter but I don’t see any methods to complete.

Would appreciate any help. Very lost.

    thank you.

Update….tried the same project in Blender… no issue… the animated intensity of a light comes through

In order to see the Spotlight in the animation drop down…I had to add another animated object to the scene…then I could see the light as an option but it doesnt seem to matter since the gltf that is created in maya doesn’t animate the light.

    Unfortunally it’s not supported yet.

Did you try as workaround to place an glas plane with an opacity ramp in front of the spotlight?
Like a filter. Then animate the position of the filter object… If one side is opaque, and the other transparent, it will gradually shadow the light – depending on where the spot is lighting through.

Hi, we supported this feature in Verge3D 3.5. See here.
