Here is the info about platforms (operating systems and hardware), browsers, and modeling tools supported by Verge3D. The list is for the development version only, for stable releases please refer to the download page. If you need to find out what modelling suites were supported by an outdated version of Verge3D, check out the version compatibility table.

Toolkit vs Runtime Requirements

When dealing with Verge3D it's important to distinguish between the system requirements for running the Verge3D toolkit and the system requirements for running 3D apps created with Verge3D (aka runtime requirements). In particular, since most 3D artists/web developers use desktop/laptop hardware, there is no need to provide support for mobile platforms for the toolkit. At the same time, it's crucial to support running the apps on a much wider range of devices, including phones, tablets, consoles, and VR headsets.

Toolkit Requirements

Platforms

We officially support running Verge3D toolkit on the following platforms:

Verge3D Flavor OS Minimal OS Version CPU Architecture
Verge3D for Blender Windows 8.1 x86-64
macOS 11 (Big Sur) x86-64, ARM64
Linux - x86-64, ARM64
ChromeOS 121 x86-64, ARM64
Verge3D for 3ds Max Windows 10 x86-64
Verge3D for Maya Windows 10 x86-64
macOS 11 (Big Sur) x86-64, ARM64
Linux - x86-64
  • x86-64 — 64-bit Intel/AMD processor, also known as AMD64
  • ARM64 — 64 bit ARM processor, also known as AArch64 or Apple Silicon (on Mac devices)
