    Hello Yuri,

    Sorry to bother you, but I’m stuck with an issue which I need to attend to finish an ongoing project.

    I recently updated to the 4.2 pre 1 version for Maya and came across the following message error when launching the App Manager from Maya:

    Could not connect to the local server!
    Please launch App Manager from the modelling suite, or via desktop icon / Start menu.

    I tried returning to the 4.1 version but got the same message. Then I downloaded the 4.2 pre 1 update again and no luck. I’ve already updated my macOS to the latest Monterrey 12.6 version
    and the error is still there.

    What could this be? How can I fix this? I’ll really appreciate your help and guidence.

    Hello,

    I’m having trouble when launching the Run App Manager inside Maya. After opening the web browser (Google Chrome), I get the following error:

    Could not connect to the local server!
    Please launch App Manager from the modelling suite, or via desktop icon / Start menu.

    I’ve already updated Verge3D to the latest version 4.1.1 and my MacOS system as well (macOS Monterrey 12.6), but I still cant get rid of the error.

    I’ll appreciate the help and guidence.

    Thanks for the tip! I came up with a solution using the events puzzle “on click”. What I did was to create a sphere that contains my whole environment and set its shader with a lambert set to transparency white, color black and diffuse 0. This makes the shader completely transparent, but still clickable within the app.

    Then in puzzles I used the “when click” puzzle and set it so that when click on the sphere the camera would animate to a locator set to the middle of the scene, thus limiting the pan movement navigation.

    I hope this helps others as it did me.

    Is this workflow possible for Maya? How can you restrict the translates up to a certain point but still be able to pan within the app? Is this possible?

    Hello,

    I have a similar issue with the CORS errors in console showing.
    I get the following message:
    v3d.js:298 v3d.WebGLTextures: sRGB encoded textures have to use RGBAFormat and UnsignedByteType.

    I am using Maya with color constants linked to the arnold standard surface shaders. How can I change to the RGBAFormat mentioned?

    I’ll appreciate the guidence!

    Found out what was happening.

    By using only one shader from maya and swaping in puzzles with the replace texture in material command, I created a slow command line that took too long to respond. So the best solution for this was to create multiple shaders in maya and have them also set in hidden simple geometries so I could then set in puzzles only the assign material to object command. Looking at the materials tutorial from the swiss army knife demo video helped!

    Hello,

    I migrated an app configurator to the new Verge3D 4.0.1 version but I’m having trouble with swapping between color and texture selection for an object.

    This is the background:

    I created a color picker thorugh an embedded js in webflow and linked it in puzzles using the designated id.

    The custom hex color selection was set by linking webflow container ids to the HTML puzzle “on event of click for element id in parent doc, do assign material to object” command.

    The custom texture assignment was also set with the same command plus a replace texture in material command.

    Both the color picker and hex color buttons work well but when selecting the texture buttons the object mantains the texture command and I cant go back to the color assignment.

    This didn’t happen in the verge3d ver.4.0 pre3 where it was first created. Should I update to the new verge3D 4.1 pre 1 version to see if this might be fixed or might there be something within the puzzles setup I’m missing.

    Here are a couple of screenshots of my puzzle visual logic.

    How did you fix it? I’m able to see my custom tabs again, thank you so much!

    One question though, I had a puzzles plugin installed in the 4.0 pre 3 version but with the updated 4.0.1 version it doesn’t show.

    Might the plugin need an update as well? I just copied the plugin folder to the “verge3dm_maya/puzzles/plugins” location where the E-Commerce and SCORM are. In case you know I’ll appreciate the guidence.

    The same has happened to me, please help!

    After updating to version 4.0.1 only the init and main tabs appeard, but my custom puzzle tabs disappeared. Also, I am not able to link scene objects anymore. I.E., when I choose a selector (object, group, light, etc.), there is no dropdown options from the maya scene.

    And I also find weird that when running the index.html file, everything works as before, but I cant see nor edit in the new puzzles. How can I restore the visual logic files from the prior version 4.0 pre3? I´ve tried re installing this previous version but I still get the mentioned errors.

    I’ll appreciate the feedback.
